Usually not. Photos taken on a phone are fine. We crop, correct and optimise them, and build the layout around what you actually have. Burger Lab started with three phone photos.

About two weeks from the day we start to a finished site you can click through. Your changes after that usually take a few more days, depending on how quickly you get back to us.

You tell us what is wrong and we change it. Reacting to a real website is far easier than describing one that does not exist yet, and it is faster for both of us.

You send us what needs changing and it gets done. Up to 12 small changes a year are included, whenever you need them. Anything new is quoted before we start. See what counts as a small change.

Your site is custom-built rather than made in a page builder, which is why it loads as fast as it does.

A standard website from us is plain files served from Cloudflare’s global network, with no PHP, no database, no plugins and no admin login, so there is very little that can go wrong. When a big PHP or WordPress flaw makes the news, there is nothing on it that needs patching. The contact form runs on Cloudflare’s own platform, which Cloudflare keeps updated.

Bigger builds, like online shops, bookings or customer logins, do run code and store data, so there is more to look after. We build those on Cloudflare’s platform as well, so the servers and the software underneath are patched by Cloudflare. Our own code we keep small and fix ourselves, and a fix reaches every site we run within minutes. How this compares to WordPress.

Yes. Your domain is registered in your name and paid by you, usually a small yearly amount at any registrar, so it is always yours.

We connect it and take care of the setup. If you don’t have one yet, we help you pick and register it.

Your words, photos and logo are always yours. If you ever decide to leave, you get the complete website files when your paid year ends, and we help move your domain to whoever looks after it next.

Yes. Online shops, bookings, customer logins or internal tools are not part of the yearly plan, but we build them. Tell us what you need and we quote it before anything starts.
